I am a licensed clinical social worker. I received my master degree from New York University. Having a safe space where you can express yourself without judgment is why therapy works. In the therapeutic space I listen very closely to your story and provide you with assistance in identifying the parts of your life that are not working for you. Therefore, the engagement process is very important so I can work with each client to build a strong interpersonal relationship. As we work together, you will learn more effective ways of coping when life throws you a curve.

I work with adults, couples and families that are struggling with anxiety, depression, family conflicts, grief and bereavement. My work as a hospice social worker taught me the value of helping my clients overcome the obstacles that are preventing them from living each day to their fullest.

I am a medicare provider. I also will help each individual navigate their insurance (I provide out of network services) so that therapy itself does not have to become a financial burden.

Laura Acton, LMHC

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of NY. I take a person-centered approach and work with clients to help them formulate the best plan of care for themselves. Empathy is a strong focus of my work, through this approach I hope to learn more about you and together we can find the best ways to meet your needs.
I have extensive training in the forensic field and have experience with male adults and adolescents struggling with various mental health needs. I have worked with sexual abuse victims and perpetrators. My experiences have helped shape me into a non-judgmental and supportive therapist, whom is genuinely focused on the well-being and happiness of my clients.
I bill out of network for those who have out of network mental health benefits on their insurance policies. I work on a sliding scale and assess every client individually, based on their ability to pay.

Michelle Caruso - Licensed Clinical Social Worker

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in Anxiety Disorders. I recognize that change can be difficult at any stage of life. Starting a new school/career, dealing with a medical diagnosis, divorce or grieving the loss of a loved one are just some of the many examples of the curveballs life throws at us. Although personal experiences vary, we as humans are connected through shared emotions. Choosing a therapist that empowers you to cope with these changes is vital to your healing.
Through the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I provide a non-judgmental and personalized approach to help you work through any difficult transitions you may be experiencing.
I currently accept Medicare and out of network benefits. I can assist with navigating out of network benefits with you and will work on a sliding scale for those without coverage.

Terri Grosso - “Meant-to-Mentor”

I am a professional certified life coach for teens and young adults, with additional certifications in crisis recovery coaching, confidence and emotional intelligence coaching and cognitive behavioral therapy. I specialize in providing the guidance and effective life skills needed to navigate through the challenges that life presents. At a time when academic, social and emotional pressures can be so demanding, we work together to clarify goals and identify obstacles, recognize thought patterns and behaviors, and create happiness and empowerment!
I have extensive experience working with teens and young adults as an educator and as a mentor. In addition to life coaching, I am a NY and NJ certified teacher of music, K-12. My degrees include a BS in Music Education from Hofstra University, and an MA in Music Performance from the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College. I have always had a psychological approach to my teaching, with a philosophy of presenting music as a joy in life, not only a skill. This led so naturally into the field of life coaching. I adore my clients and students, and we do life together.
In addition to individual coaching sessions, I offer group coaching classes as well. My classes provide a nurturing and cohesive environment in which we bond friendships and work together to build and strengthen self-love, self-confidence, self-trust and accountability.
